At just 14 years old, Amaya Emory is already proving that passion, dedication, and personality can shine far beyond the stage. A vibrant and versatile performer, Amaya brings an undeniable spark to every room she enters—whether she’s on stage, on set, or in front of the camera. We were thrilled to work with her at our recent ACA Dancewear Model Call, where her poise, energy, and professionalism stood out from the very first click. A Career Already in Motion Amaya has already accumulated an impressive list of accomplishments.

She’s a frequent standout at conventions and competitions, earning special awards, overalls, and titles for her solos, duets, trios, and group pieces. Her dedication and artistry have taken her not only across the country—but around the world—including a special performance on the “Battle of the Seas” international cruise. In addition to her dance accolades, Amaya has also made her mark in the modeling world. She holds multiple photogenic awards, including the National Teen Photogenic Winner title from ID Dance Competition in Myrtle Beach. Her camera-ready charisma and expressive movement make her a natural for creative shoots and branded campaigns.

A proud 8th grader at St. Mary’s School of Piscataway Catholic School, Amaya began dancing at age 6 and entered the competitive world just two years later. Today, she trains with B. Funk Dance Company in LaPlata, Maryland, where her talents continue to grow across genres—including jazz, lyrical, contemporary, ballet, and acro. Still, Amaya will tell you her heart beats strongest for jazz and hip hop, where her rhythm, stage presence, and personality shine brightest.Outside of competitions, Amaya performs with both the Wiz Kids (NBA) and the Mystics Mayhem (WNBA) dance teams—bringing joy, rhythm, and entertainment to professional basketball arenas. She also proudly serves as an ambassador for top dancewear and youth arts organizations, including: Lemonberry, Rebel Athletic , Purple Pixies Dancewear , LaLaw Dance Foundation, Roots and Rising Dance Group.

Whether performing for a packed auditorium or modeling a new dancewear line, Amaya radiates confidence, kindness, and gratitude for the opportunities she’s earned.

Looking Ahead

As she prepares to continue her training at Bishop McNamara High School, Amaya’s sights are set on a future filled with dance—through college and beyond. She’s not only a standout talent but also a deeply reflective artist, grateful for every teacher, mentor, friend, and family member who has helped shape her journey. "Dancing is my passion," Amaya shares. "It allows me to express myself freely every time I perform." And it shows. With every leap, turn, and smile, Amaya Emory dances with purpose—and the future is bright.
